London Borough of Croydon

There are three main criteria for applying for a disabled parking bay. These are that there should be a registered Blue Badge holder living at the address, a vehicle registered at the same address and the applicant should have no access to off-street parking (i.e. no garage or driveway).

The Council will only consider providing a bay for a disabled resident with off-street parking if there is a good reason why the off-street parking space cannot be used and such bays are usually provided across the driveway entrance. Please also note that we can only provide bays on the public highway.

Disabled bays can take up to 6 months to introduce, due to the legal procedures the Council is obliged to follow.
