Kenley transport study

During the engagement last year to develop the Kenley Community Plan (KCP), the highest priority identified (by 41% of respondents) was traffic and transport issues.    

In order to explore issues raised by residents, as a first step, the council has commissioned an initial Transport Study to:

  • provide an overview of the current evidence base,
  • look at a variety of scenarios of further housing growth and impact on transport infrastructure
  • provide high level suggestions for how public transport and other interventions can mitigate these issues

The council will use this report to:

  • engage with the community via the Kenley Community Steering Group to determine priorities
  • undertake further feasibility and costing of these priorities
  • provide evidence towards the Local Plan Review
  • support negotiations with developers
