Street collection licence

If you’re planning to collect donations for charity in London, whether it’s on the street or door-to-door, you may need a licence.

If you intend to collect money in the street, you will need to apply for a licence from the police on the Metropolitan Police website.

You can apply for a:

  • charity collection licence
  • house to house collection licence
  • street collection licence

Complaints

If you wish to make a complaint about someone collecting in the street you will need to contact the police.
