Children's events

We run the following free weekly drop-in events for young children:        

  • Rhymetime: Tuesdays 11am to 11:30am (toddlers)
  • Stay and Play: Learning is fun Tuesday:10am to 11am (toddlers)
  • Craft Time: Mondays 4pm to 5pm (ages 5 to 10, term-time only)
  • Rhymetime: Wednesdays 10:30am to 11am
  • Storytime: Saturdays 11am to 12 noon

Reading and writing groups

  • Crime reading group (adults): second Saturday of each month  12:30pm -1:30pm.
  • Pond Life Reading Group (adults): first Saturday of the month 1pm - 2.30pm.

Other activities for adults

  • Knit and knatter: fortnightly on a Friday 11am - 12noon.  Drop-in
  • Older people's club: fortnightly on a Friday 11am - 1pm. Drop-in

Homework Club

For young people aged 9 to 16. Students benefit from space to study, access to a wide selection of books, computer and photocopying facilities, and free printing for up to 5 pages per child. The club is free and young people can drop in.

Operating Hours | Term Time Only

  • School term time: Tuesday and Friday 3:30pm - 5:30pm, Saturday 2pm - 5pm
  • Summer and Christmas holidays: Closed.

Work Club

The Work Club is run by volunteers and is here to offer support with job search and help with typing CVs. Come and meet other people who are also looking for a job and share your own experiences and skills. To find out more, drop in on a Tuesday and Wednesday between 10am and 12noon.

Green waste bags

You can now buy these from all Croydon Libraries. We sell them for £1 each.

Our display boards are available for use free of charge to advertise your club or society.
