Staying Put gardening service

The Staying Put gardening service may be able to help you maintain your garden.

To be entitled to use the service you must be aged 60 or over or disabled.

What the service provides

The type of work covered in the service includes:

  • tidying up front and back gardens
  • grass cutting
  • pruning
  • weeding

The service does not include: 

  • fencing work
  • work on anything higher than 6 feet

If you are a council or private tenant we cannot carry out works for which your landlord is responsible. If unsure, consult your tenancy officer or landlord first. 

Costs

There is a minimum of charge of £45 for any gardening work. If two gardeners are required this would be priced at £75 for the first hour, followed by £30 per hour, per gardener thereafter.

The gardening contractor will discuss your requirements before any work takes place and provide you with the estimated cost for the work. The team are able to remove any garden waste from the property, this is included in the cost.
