Recruitment process for election staff
We recruit election staff to work at polling stations and to count votes. If you would like to register your interest, please email us with your:
- full name
- email address
- postcode
Email: staffingelectoral@croydon.gov.uk
Once you have registered your interest, a member of the Electoral Services team will contact you, to help you set up an online election staff account. We will then be able to contact you regarding opportunities to work at future elections.
Croydon Council employees
Employees appointed to work at local government and parliamentary elections at Croydon polling stations for; voting verification or counting will be granted paid discretionary leave. This is subject to service needs, where election duties take place during normal working hours. Employees undertaking overnight voting verification or counting will be granted time off in lieu the following day.
