This policy sets out clearly for staff and complainants what is expected of them, what they can do, and who can authorise actions.
A very small minority of customers make or pursue complaints in a persistent or vexatious way which can either slow down the investigation of their complaint or can have significant resource issues for us.
This policy is to ensure unreasonable and unreasonably persistent complainants are dealt with fairly. It sets out clearly for staff and complainants what is expected of them, what they can do, and who can authorise actions. It will help us assess and monitor how we deal with and respond to unreasonable and unreasonably persistent complainants.
