We recommend that you pay your business rates by direct debit because it is the easiest way. It is also the only payment method that gives you a choice of payment dates - choose to pay on the 1st, 5th, 15th and 25th of the month. You must pay by the 5th of the month for all other payment methods.
If you pay by direct debit you also have the option of spreading the instalments until the end of the current financial year.
(Please note you will need to complete a new form if you want to change your bank details.)
Payments by credit or debit card
(Please note there is a surcharge of 1.65% if you pay by credit card. There is no surcharge for debit cards.)
You can pay your business rates online.
You can make a credit or debit card payment through our Touchtone service by phoning 0345 3000 614 (option 7).

Remember to have your business rate account reference number ready when you phone.
