Pay your business rates

You can pay your business rates in a number of ways, including by Direct Debit and by bank transfer.

Set up a Direct Debit

The easiest way to pay your business rates is to set up a regular Direct Debit.

It's also the only payment method with a choice of payment dates. You can choose from 4 different days of the month:

  • 1st
  • 5th
  • 15th
  • 25th

My Account

Register for My Account and you can make a payment, check your business rates balance and check your instalments whenever you like. Go to My Account - business.

Pay by credit or debit card

Pay now

Select 'Business rates' and fill in your details. 

Pay by phone

Phone: 0345 3000 614, option 8.

You won't be sent a receipt. Instead you'll be given a reference number.

BACS or telephone banking

To pay by BACS (Bankers Automated Clearing System),  or by telephone banking, quote the following details:

  • National Westminster Bank PLC
  • H.O. collection
  • 57-10-70
  • Account Number 01000624

The payment reference is '24', followed by your account reference.

Search for a PayPoint outlet

You can pay your business rates by cash only at any outlet displaying the PayPoint logo. To make payment you will need your business rate payment slip, which will be printed with a barcode.

If you wish to use a PayPoint outlet and your payment slip does not have a barcode, please contact us.
