Access to healthy and nutritious food is an important part of staying well and independent at home. If you find it difficult to go shopping, prepare meals for yourself or just do not have access to health nutritious foods, below are a few ways to get help.

 

Meal delivery services

If you find it hard to prepare meals for yourself, you can pay to have freshly prepared hot or frozen meals delivered to your home . Visit the EAC Housing Care website and view the list of meal delivery services available in the Croydon area.

 

Foodbanks

Access to healthy and nutritious food is vital for living well. Food banks are run by community organisations and can help if you cannot afford the food you need. Find a local food bank near you.

 

Age UK - Help with your shopping

Being able to shop for food is an important part of staying well and independent at home. Supermarket shopping in-store or online

Most big supermarkets will help you shop in-store if you're having difficulties moving around or have a hidden disability. They can help you around the store if you use a wheelchair or provide a little extra help or time for those with a hidden disability.
