- Creation of a community garden, cultivating a green space for communal enjoyment.
- Launch of community engagement, including an online questionnaire and pop-up days, encouraging residents to share personal anecdotes and memories related to Ashburton Park.
May 2024
- Food growing taster sessions, reviving traditional practice to promoting a sense of continuity.
- Food growing competition begins.
June 2024
- The Friends of Addington Park to host the 'Big Lunch Event', a celebration of the park's heritage with a vibrant community spirit.
September 2024
A community day celebration and competition, commemorating not only the achievements of the project but also the park's centenary.
