How to get parking restrictions suspended

You can apply for a dispensation if you need to park your vehicle in an area with parking restrictions while you carry out work or attend an important function at a specific address such as:

  • shopfitting
  • building works
  • funerals.

However, if you want to deposit a skip on any road, you will have to buy a skip licence. For more information go to the Licences - skip permit 'see also' link.

Dispensation charges

  • administration charge: £25
  • suspensions - central controlled parking zone (CPZ) bays: £30 per day
  • suspensions - all other parking bays: £20 per day
  • parking on single yellow lines: £20 per day.

Please note: it takes a minimum of three days to obtain a parking dispensation.
