Selsdon Community Plan Published (2020 to 2025)

From November 2019 to March 2020, the Selsdon Community were involved in a number engagement activities designed so that they could express their views on how Selsdon could be improved, to be summarised in the Selsdon Community Plan (SCP). 
Feedback has now been analysed and the Selsdon Community Plan (PDF, 2MB) is available to view.

The plan outlines the findings from the engagement process under the themes of:

  • Greening and open local spaces
  • Transport and streetscape
  • Culture, restaurants and local entertainment
  • Youth and community
  • Health, wellbeing and sports
  • Jobs, training and business

The plan also sets out priorities for the community to take forward in terms Quick Win projects that can be delivered in the next 18 months, key priorities and other longer term projects and ambitions.  

Next steps for the Selsdon Community Plan

The plan is being taken forward by the Selsdon Community Plan Steering Group (SCPSG) who are made up of local groups, churches, ward councillors, Croydon Council, local businesses and schools working together to help realise this vision
They are currently working on a number of projects including:

  • Community Hub
  • Greening and planting on the high street
  • Summer/Christmas market
