Children and young people
Children and young people in Croydon have the chance to thrive, learn and fulfil their potential
Croydon is a young borough, with the largest population of under-18s in London. We want to celebrate their talents and achievements and work with partners to enable our children and young people, including those with special educational needs and disabilities, to fulfil their potential and celebrate their achievements.
Making the borough safer for our young people is a top priority. We plan to strengthen partnerships with the voluntary, business and statutory sectors and schools in Croydon to tackle the root causes of youth crime, and support vulnerable families.
We will:
- ensure children and young people have opportunities to learn, develop and fulfil their potential
- make Croydon safer for young people
- work closely with health services, police and the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector to keep vulnerable children and young people safe from harm
