Official local land charges searches are carried out and certified by the council on behalf of a person buying land or property.
A search takes 2-3 working days to process. Please let us know if your search is urgent.
Processing each search involves researching and supplying information recorded in the local land charges register. This relates to financial charges, conditional planning permissions, enforcement notices, tree preservation orders and various other notices, orders or agreements.
The search usually also means answering standard questions concerning highway status and proposals, planning history, building control history, notices, contaminated land and many other considerations.
