Fostering, adoption and 'looked-after' services

Category Items

  • Fostering information meetings

The best way to find out more about fostering is to attend one of our regular information meetings.

  • Fostering

Fostering provides homes for children who are temporarily unable to live with their own families but who may eventually return to the family home. We are always happy to welcome new foster carers.

  • Adoption

The local authority attempts to find adoptive homes for children who are no longer able to live in their own homes. We offer support for adopted children and their families, prospective adopters, and birth families of adopted children.

  • Children and young people - residential care

Residential care for children ensures that the needs of children are met when they cannot live with their own family.

  • Looked after children's education (LACE)

We provide a range of services, support and advice to promote the education of children who are in public care.

  • Leaving care and independence service

We provide a range of services for young people aged 16-25 who are either looked after by the local authority, preparing for independence or living independently.

  • Rightfully Yours

A free service for children and young people in or from Croydon between the ages of 0-25 who are in care, entering or leaving care, or in need. It is part of the children's charity - Action for Children.
