Appointment of experienced teachers
Most schools advertise their vacancies in the Teaching Opportunities Bulletin which is circulated to schools and libraries. This is updated weekly and also published on the recruitment pages of the council website. Some schools also advertise in the Times Educational Supplement.
Please note that we particularly encourage applications from teachers from Black and other Minority Ethnic heritage groups. We aim to have a teaching workforce that reflects the diversity of our pupil population.
Overseas Trained Teachers are welcomed to apply for any of the jobs advertised. Without Qualified Teacher Status schools can employ overseas trained teachers on the unqualified teacher pay scale.
