Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairment Strategy
In the summer of 2005 the Partnership Group for Adults with Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairments came together to agree what needs to be done over the next three years to improve the lives of people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments who live in Croydon.
The "Joint Strategy for Adults with Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairments" has been developed by people with physical disabilities and sensory impairment, carers, independent and statutory providers, and the voluntary sector and brings together national and local priorities.
The aim is to ensure that people with physical disabilities and with sensory impairments will be centrally involved in decisions that affect their lives, and that these decisions should reflect their diverse lifestyles, cultures and aspirations.
Furthermore, that people with physical disabilities and sensory impairment will be involved in planning and developing services and shaping the priorities for Croydon.
