Following the introduction of recent legislation, councils now have the power to restrict access to alleyways (even if they are a public right of way) if such action will help to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in that location.

Hate crime are crimes motivated by difference. No-one should have to suffer because another person dislikes their ethnicity, religion, sexual identity etc. This section gives advice on how and where to report incidences of hate crime.
Housing - crime support and assistance
