Premises licence

Premises selling or supplying alcohol, providing entertainment or providing hot food must have a licence. This is a requirement of the Licensing Act 2003.

How to apply for a licence

To pay your annual licence fee by debit/credit card, click on the "Shop for it” link to your right. 

If you are applying for the first time please download the premises licence application form and send it to the address below.

If the premises to be licensed are still under construction then you should apply for a provisional statement.

The sale or supply of alcohol must also be made or authorised by the holder of a personal licence (see also the personal licence page).

If you currently hold a premises licence and wish to vary your hours you should complete a variation form. If the variation is only to change the designated premises supervisor then complete a DPS variation form.

If you are a new owner of a currently licensed premises and wish to transfer the licence into your name you should complete a transfer form.

You should send the completed form to the address below together with the relevant fee. Cheques are payable to Croydon Council (see Licence and registration fees page).
