Our risk of falling often increases as we get older, and most falls occur during everyday activities. Although most falls don't cause serious injury, they can leave us feeling shaken and distressed.

You can reduce your risk of having a fall by:

  • making simple changes to your home
  • doing regular exercises to improve your strength and balance      
  • staying hydrated
  • getting regular eye checks           
  • having your medication checked regularly by your GP or a pharmacist
