General information

  • The inquest will be taking place from 17th May – 20th August 2021. You can find out information on the inquest here, including the dates of previous hearings and how they are ensuring COVID-19 secure arrangements for those attending.
  • You can find the interim final report from the Rail Accident Investigation Branch .
  • The council’s JustGiving page for donations closed at midnight 2 December 2016. The generous donations were distributed by the London Community Foundation, who have now closed this fund. If you would like to make a donation, please consider donating to a local charity of your choosing.

  • Croydon Council Welfare Advice Line provides help and advice on financial and housing issues. (Phone: 020 8760 5441, Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm).
  • The Sarah Hope Line is Transport for London’s dedicated helpline for people affected by fatal or serious injuries on London’s transport network who may need practical, financial and emotional help. (Phone: 0343 222 5678 / Email: incidentsupport@tfl.gov.uk).
  • TfL Travel Mentoring is offering a buddying service, to help those who feel they need to rebuild their confidence in using the tram service. The team of travel mentors can offer up to 10 accompanied journeys to anyone affected by the incident. (Phone: 020 3054 4361 / Email: travelmentor@tfl.gov.uk)
  • Victim Support provide emotional and practical help to people who have been affected by crime. (Freephone: 0808 168 9291)
  • Samaritans Croydon and Sutton Branch provide 24 hours a day emotional support for people who are struggling to cope. (Freephone: 116 123) 
  • Cruse Bereavement Care Croydon provide support, advice and information to children, young people and adults who have experienced a bereavement.
