London Borough of Croydon

Coronavirus (COVID-19): Please see Coronavirus service updates for the latest information about affected council services

Update: 3 April 2020

Croydon’s parks remain open to the public.

Visitors are prohibited from using outdoor gyms, sports courts and playgrounds. Measures have been put in place to restrict access to these facilities as well as some car parks.

Please follow the government advice by only visiting your local greenspaces and not travelling unnecessarily.

Our parks and green spaces play an important role in the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents and are a lifeline for those without gardens and others needing fresh air or exercise.

Help protect yourself and others from Coronavirus. To support keeping our parks open, you must:

  • avoid visiting parks, green spaces and recreational areas if you are exhibiting symptoms of Coronavirus
  • follow social distancing guidelines - keep a minimum of 2 metres away from other people
  • keep dogs on a lead to avoid unnecessary contact with other park users
  • wash your hands before leaving home and as soon as you return from being outside

To report a problem in any of Croydon’s parks, email parks@croydon.gov.uk.
