This group enables Croydon Council tenants and leaseholders to provide feedback on the publicity material, information and online content that is created for them. The role can be carried out online so there is no need to attend meetings. We can also help if you are not confident in using new technology or need some support getting involved online. Find out more.

Estate walkabouts

Join your local housing team on estate walkabouts and work with us to improve services where you live. A great way to flag any issues affecting communal areas such as green spaces, security, rubbish, fly-tipping and repairs. Find out more.

One-off groups set up to focus on a specific issue for a limited time.

Housing complaints panel

If a resident is unhappy with the outcome of our housing complaints process, this panel takes an independent look at the case or suggests ideas about how to resolve the complaint. Find out more.

Housing scrutiny panel

A small group of residents work with us to independently review a service. You’ll interview officers, write reports and make recommendations to service managers. An ongoing commitment as the group meets fortnightly. Find out more.

Local resident groups

All it takes is a small group of neighbours to share a vision for improving their neighbourhood and you have the beginnings of a resident group. We can find out about groups in your area or help you set up your own. Find out more.

Mystery shopping

‘Test’ our services and tell us what we did well and how we could make improvements. Full training is provided. Find out more.

Neighbourhood voice

Complete a quick monthly inspection of your block and surrounding area to give us feedback about housing services such as caretaking and grounds maintenance. Find out more.

Online engagement

Not all residents are able to attend meetings so we’re developing online discussion forums for residents who want to get involved but prefer to do so online. Find out more.

Pop up events and surgeries

A great way to get people talking about issues which are important to them. If you’ve got an idea for an event, we can help promote it or suggest a venue.

Performance monitoring & service improvement

A monitoring role looking at how our housing services are performing and work with officers to suggest improvements. Find out more.

Resident health & safety advisory panel

Tenant and leaseholder panel (TLP)

TLP meet four times a year with councillors and service managers. This is an important role - by joining TLP you represent all the tenants and leaseholders in Croydon and have a say in the big decisions affecting your housing services. Find out more.
