Repairs in severe weather

Due to the severe weather conditions, there is exceptional demand on the repairs service.

Frozen condense pipes

Many of the issues relate to frozen condense pipes. This can often be fixed by thawing the pipe, you can find out how to do this by watching the video below.

If the pipe can't be fixed this way, or you have a different emergency heating problem please call the repairs line on 0208 726 6101.

Please be aware that call waiting times may be longer than usual during this period.

Reporting a repair

There are many quick and easy ways to report a repair

  • Report a repair on line. You will first need to create an online account with us, then just click on ‘Report it’ and then ‘Housing Repairs’ to log your repair. Do not report emergency repairs online, please call our contact centre on 020 8726 6101 .   
  • You can phone our contact centre on 020 8726 6101. Our contact centre is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for reporting new repairs, (including out of hours emergencies), changing appointments or making enquiries regarding existing repairs.

Will you get an appointment if you report a repair online?

Appointments are Monday to Friday. You will be able to tell us which days and times are convenient for you. Please note we will contact you within two working days to arrange your repair appointment.

General repair time slots:

  • 8am to 1pm
  • 12pm to 5pm

Gas repair time slots:

  • 8am to 1pm
  • 12pm to 5pm

Specialist repairs time slots, such as lift:

  • 8am to 1pm
  • 12pm to 5pm

Emergency or urgent repairs:

Appointments do not apply, these will be attended to within 2 and 24 hours but only to make the property safe.

Changes to appointments

If you are unable to keep the appointment please telephone and let us know to stop a wasted journey. Please give us as much time as possible if you need to change the appointment, this will allow us to offer the appointment to another tenant. By keeping appointments this can reduce costs and response times and provide a better service to all tenants.
