Talking about adult social care events usually take place twice a year, in the spring and the autumn. They are free events which include information sessions and the opportunity to talk to decision makers, for users (and their carers) of adult social care services.
The next Talking about adult social care (Taasc) event will take place on Thursday, 28 September 2017, from 1pm (registration) to 4pm. The venue is Jurys Inn, Wellesley Road, Croydon, CR0 9XY. The main topic for this event will be Personal Independent Payments (PIP) and the programme includes:
- a presentation from the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions)
- round table discussions to share experiences of PIP with other
- interactive question and answer session with staff from the DWP and Croydon’s welfare rights team
The event is free but you must book a place to attend. Priority will be given to people who use Croydon adult social services and their carers. Please tell us of your access needs when you book a place so that we can support your full participation on the day.
