LGBT History Month is celebrated in February

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender History Month is celebrated in February each year. It celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community in the UK. LGBT History Month also aims to promote tolerance and raise awareness of the prejudices faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.

Each year has a different theme. This year’s theme, Geography, looks at the status of LGBT people around the world.

The Croydon Council Staff LGBT+ Allies network group has a display in the 8th floor happy café in Bernard Weatherill House for all of February. The LGBT community group has a display in Croydon Central Library for all of February.

Please see attached LGBT History month leaflet for 2018 with lots of events which we hope you will support and enjoy.

Hold the date!

Croydon PrideFest returns this year on Saturday 14 July 2018. Celebrate with us for free at Wandle Park, Croydon, CR0 4XT. More details will be announced on http://www.croydonpride.org.uk/
