LGBT History Month is celebrated in February
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender History Month is celebrated in February each year. It celebrates the lives and achievements of the LGBT community in the UK. LGBT History Month also aims to promote tolerance and raise awareness of the prejudices faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
Each year has a different theme. 2018’s theme, Geography, looked at the status of LGBT people around the world.
The Croydon Council Staff LGBT+ Allies network group had a display on the 8th floor of the Happy Café in Bernard Weatherill House, and the LGBT community group had a display in Croydon Central Library for all of February.
Please see attached LGBT History month leaflet for 2018.
