If you run a club and operate up to three category B4, C or D gaming machines you must have a permit.
The permit is valid for 10 years.
How to apply for a permit
Download the application form below and once completed send it to the licensing team at the address below together with a cheque for £200. Cheques should be made payable to Croydon Council.
Will tacit consent apply?
No. Your permit will only be issued to you when all the necessary inspections / checks have been carried out and the premises meets the required standards.
The annual fee of £50 becomes payable on the anniversary of the grant of the licence. You can pay your annual fee online.
Alternatively payment can now be made over the telephone by credit or debit card, if you would like to use this facility please telephone 020 8760 5466. Please note a surcharge of 1.65% will be payable for payments made by credit card, there is no charge for debit card payments.
Failed application redress
Any person who is refused a licence can appeal to the Croydon Magistrates Court, Barclay Road, Croydon CR9 3NG.
Licence holder redress
Any licence holder who objects to any of the licensing conditions attached to a licence may appeal to the Croydon Magistrates Court, Barclay Road, Croydon CR9 3NG.
