London Borough of Croydon

Advocacy for Croydon is made up of two advocacy providers, who offer several different advocacy services to Croydon residents.

The role of an advocate is to support you have your feelings and wishes heard in meetings or situations, or where decisions may be made about you.  Advocates listen to you and act according to your wishes. They do not give their own view of what is best, or try to influence you to make a choice.

Which advocacy service is used, and when, depends on what is best suited to you and what you are eligible for. What is common to all advocacy services is that you are always at the centre of the advocacy process.
