Active lives: day and evening support

The Cherry Hub

The Cherry Hub

The Cherry Hub is not a day centre in the traditional sense - it's a place for people with disabilities to use as part of their personalised activity programmes around the borough. It's also the base for our Active Lives service and Croydon Autism Service.

The building is fully accessible, with hoists and handrails. Wi-Fi is available throughout.

The Cherry Orchard Garden Centre is based at the Cherry Hub. It’s open to the public and run mainly by volunteers with learning and other disabilities. Volunteers learn new skills like horticulture and customer service, and can meet new friends.

The Centre offers a wide range of plants, many grown on site, including:

  • annuals (seasonal/bedding)
  • perennials
  • trees and shrubs
  • seasonal products such as Christmas trees and wreaths
