Legislation now permits the use of cameras for enforcement of other traffic offences such as non-compliance with bus lanes regulations.
The management, administration and decisions regarding the placement of red light and speed enforcement cameras rest with the Metropolitan Police and the London Safety Camera Partnership, not the council.
