Town Centre Regeneration Projects

Croydon Council wish to see a comprehensive redevelopment of Fairfield Halls and the College Green area as part of the council’s Vision 2020, draft Croydon Plan and plans for a Cultural Quarter in Croydon. This will make the new Fairfield Halls a vibrant arts venue for the 21st century.

Fairfield Halls

The redevelopment will make the venue considerably more flexible in terms of its use:

  • The Concert Hall will be the only element of Fairfield to be retained and would be subject to a major overhaul and refurbishment.
  • Creation of a multi-function auditorium.
  • Building of a multi-function space for banqueting functions, exhibitions, conferences, meetings, small concerts and catering including café/restaurants/bars and other retail and concessions.

    College Green

    This will be a residential development of approximately 1000 units. The development will include commercial elements, associated car-parking facilities, a pedestrian piazza and enhanced public realm areas.
