The Coulsdon Town Centre Improvement Scheme, Phase 2, Urban Design: Progress Statement and Project Update June 2007 is to be delivered to Coulsdon residents at an exhibition on Chipstead Valley Road on 22 and 23 June at 8pm.
The progress statement provides an update on the emerging strategy that will help to drive the revitalisation of Coulsdon town centre and is commissioned by Transport for London (TfL) in partnership with the London Borough of Croydon. Any comments should be sent to Lee Longhurst (contact details below) and must be received by no later than Monday 23 July 2007.
The design proposals for Brighton Road have been developed in response to feedback from the consultation exercise conducted during the summer of 2006.
Feedback and review
The report on the feedback and review of the Preliminary Design Coulsdon Town Centre Improvement Scheme has been commissioned by TfL and the London Borough of Croydon. It summarises the findings of the review process and consultations held between July and October 2007.
Following on from this report, the designers, Matrix Associates and Burns + Nice, are starting the detail design. A display of this design is planned to be held at the Coulsdon and Bradmore Green libraries in Summer 2008. The works on site are due to begin in Autumn 2008 and are expected to last twelve months.
