The Unitary Development Plan (UDP)

Since 1991, all planning applications and appeals have to be determined in accordance with the development plan, unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

The Council's development plan is the London Borough of Croydon's Replacement Unitary Development Plan (UDP), also known as ‘The Croydon Plan’, which was adopted in July 2006.

The UDP consists of a Written Statement and an interactive Proposals Map.

You can view or download the Written Statement by chapter and click here to download the interactive proposals map .

About the Written Statement

The Written Statement sets out the council's policies and proposals for the development and use of land and provides an explanation for them.

To view the Written Statement by chapter, see the Download the Current UDP page.
