How to submit an application

We recommend that you submit your application online by using the Planning Portal one-stop-shop, where you'll find a simple and easy-to-use online application form that allows you to send your application directly to us. You can even buy site maps and attach supporting documents and drawings.

There are many advantages of submitting your application electronically such as getting help, guidance and information from just one place, so you don't have to make multiple copies of plans and forms. You'll also get notification by email informing you that your application has been received. By creating a login account the portal remembers your details, which makes it even easier to submit additional applications.

The Planning Portal has been designed to answer all your questions and guide you towards making a successful planning application. Go to www.planningportal.gov.uk and then follow the step-by-step instructions.
