Guided walks - a guide
Who are these walks for?
These walks are aimed at people who would like to discover the beauty of the natural open spaces in Croydon. The walks are suitable for most people as the pace is generally easy, although paths can be uneven, muddy at times and hilly in places.
Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a guardian. Dogs on a lead are welcome unless otherwise stated .
What to bring?
Remember to wear stout footwear with good grip. As weather conditions can change during a walk, bring waterproof clothing or sun protection just in case. Walks usually last for one to two hours; longer walks are indicated. You may want to bring a drink and a snack.
Who leads the walks?
All the walks are lead by experienced leaders. They are either countryside wardens, park officers, volunteers from friends of parks groups, or staff from the Downlands Countryside Management Project or the Old Surrey Downs Project.
