Planning and booking

Groups are welcome to visit the Museum of Croydon, temporary exhibition and Riesco Galleries.

Group size

Ten or more people qualify as a group.

We recommend a maximum group size of 35.  Larger groups can be accommodated by splitting them and visiting more than one facility in Croydon Clocktower.

To avoid over-crowding we strongly advise you to  book in advance.  To book, please contact us using the details below. We will need the following information from you: 

• your preferred date and time of visit
• your name the name, address and telephone number of your school or organisation
• number of adults, children and under fives in your group
• national curriculum year (if applicable)
• number of accompanying adults (if applicable)
• whether you would like to be invoiced or pay on the day
• if any of your group have special requirements

We can happily help plan your visit and arrange a pre-visit to the galleries.

Charges

Visits to the Museum of Croydon and Riesco Gallery are free. Some temporary exhibitions charge for entry. Please see the Museum of Croydon website for details of current exhibitions and charges.

Museum of Croydon Handling Sessions and Riesco Gallery taught sessions cost £2 per student and all accompanying adults are free. There is a minimum charge of £30 for school groups of 15 or less.

Access

Croydon Clocktower has ramped or lift access to all facilities. There are also accessible toilets.

Food

We regret that there is no lunch room for schools or other groups.  Groups are not allowed to eat food in the Clocktower court.

The Clocktower Café offers a delicious selection of sandwiches and snacks.

If the weather is fine, Queen's Gardens, which is a two minute walk away, is a lovely place to have a picnic.
