Chatterbooks children's reading groups
Why not join in and chat with other children about books you have read and find out about other exciting or funny books! You can also take part in games and quizzes and there are occasional visits from authors and illustrators of children's books.
We hold the 'Chatterbooks', reading groups for children aged 8-11 after school at Ashburton, Bradmore Green, Coulsdon, New Addington, Norbury, Purley, Sanderstead, Shirley and South Norwood Libraries and 'Chatterbooks' for children aged 3-6 at Selsdon Library . Below are details of when they occur.
Ashburton: takes place on the last Friday of the month from 4-5pm. Places for this reading group are limited so please contact the library for more information.
Bradmore Green: takes place on the second Monday of the month at 4pm.
Coulsdon: takes place once a month from 4-5pm. Chatterbooks at Coulsdon is currently full, please be aware that you may have to join a waiting list.
New Addington: takes place on the first Monday of the month from 4-5pm.
Norbury: takes place on the last Friday of each month at 4-5pm.
Purley: takes place once a month on a Thursday 4-5pm.
Sanderstead: takes place once a month on a Tuesday at 4pm.
Selsdon: meets on the second Friday of the month from 4:15-5:15pm.
Shirley: takes place once a week on a Thursday at 4pm.
South Norwood: takes place every Wednesday 3:45-4:45pm.

Scribblers
'Scribblers' is a fun story and craft group run by library staff and volunteers at Thornton Heath Library. We hold the Scribblers group on Wednesdays at 4pm (term time only). Families with children aged 5-9 are encouraged to drop-in and enjoy a fun mix of stories, arts and crafts, puzzles and quizzes.
