Adults reading groups
Do you enjoy a challenging read? Have you ever felt that you would like to share your thoughts with someone about a book you have just finished? Would you like to discuss books in an informal and relaxed atmosphere?
- second Saturday of the month at 11am meet at the level 2 enquiry desk
- second Monday of the month at 6pm meet at the level 2 enquiry desk (occasionally on different Mondays, please phone to check)
Ashburton : an adult reading group meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 6.30pm.
Bradmore Green: an adult afternoon reading group is held on the first Tuesday in the month 2pm-3pm.
Coulsdon: a Coulsdon library/community reading group for adults, meet every fourth Thursday in the month at 7pm at the Comrades Club, Brighton Road, Coulsdon (opposite the library). For further details please contact the library.
Norbury: an adult reading group meets on the first Monday of the month at 5.30pm.
Purley: an adult reading group meets on the first Thursday of the month at 10.30am.
- an adult reading group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:45pm-5:45pm
- Babes in Arms (adult reading group for parents/carers) meets on the last Friday of the month at 10am.
Selsdon : There are two adult reading groups. The original group meets on the last Thursday of the month at 11am. A new group meets on the third Thursday of the month at 11am.
South Norwood : a 'Babes in Arms', (adult reading group for parents/carers) meets once a month on a Saturday at 10am. There is also another adult reading group held here but please ask at the library for details.
Thornton Heath: A crime reading group meets on one Saturday each month at 2:30pm. A Black Interest Reading Group meets on one Saturday each month at 11.00am. A Creative Writing Group meets fortnightly on a Friday 5.30pm

Broad Green Library: Older People's Club meets every Monday at 10am
Thornton Heath Library: Knit and Knatter meets fortnightly on a Friday at 11am. Older People's Club meets fortnightly on a Friday 10.30am. Creative Writing Group meets one Friday each month at 5.30pm.
