Children's events

We run the following free drop-in events for young children during school term times:

  • Bookstart Rhymetime: Tuesdays 10 - 11am (babies and toddlers)

Reading group

Our family reading group meets on a Saturday once a month from 10:30 to 11:30am.

There are two adult reading groups held at Thornton Heath library. Our crime reading group meets one Saturday each month at 2:30pm and our young adults graphic novel group meets monthly on Wednesday between 4:30-5:30pm. Please contact the library for further information.

Careers, training and learning advice sessions

Free drop-in sessions

  • Tuesdays 1:30 - 4:30pm

You can talk one-to-one with a personal adviser who can provide you with information and advice on learning and work options. They can also help you with your CV.

Computer training courses

Computer skills for beginners to expert level. Join our friendly groups with tutor support on hand.
