Children's events
We run the following free drop-in events for young children during school terms:
- Bookstart Rhymetime: Fridays 2 - 2.30pm (babies and toddlers)
- Wiggle and Jiggle: Tuesday 11am (2-4 year olds)
- Rock and Rhyme or Storytime on alternate Saturdays at 11.30
Reading groups
The Chatterbooks reading group meets once a month on Tuesday from 4 - 5pm.
Adult reading group ask at the library for details.
Babes in Arms reading group first Saturday of the month at 10.00am
Homework help club
Our specially trained helpers offer young people aged 9-16 support with homework assignments. Students benefit from space to study, access to a wide selection of books, word processing and supervised internet access.
The club is free and young people can drop in as and when they please.
Hours
School term time: Monday and Wednesday 3.30 - 5.30pm, Saturday 2 - 5pm
Half-term and Easter holidays: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 2 - 5pm
Summer and Christmas holidays: Closed
Careers, training and learning advice sessions
We hold free drop-in sessions on Mondays from 10am - 12:30pm.
Talk one-to-one with a personal adviser who can provide information and advice on learning and work options and also help you with your CV.
