Children's events
We run the following free drop-in events for young children during school term times:
- Bookstart Rhymetime: Wednesdays 10-10:30am (babies and toddlers)
- Wiggle and Jiggle: Wednesdays 11-11:30am (18 months onwards)
- Storytime: Wednesdays 4-4:30pm (two and a half years onwards).
Further library events can be found in our events calendar. You can also see events for children and adults that are taking place in the community.
Reading groups
- Adult reading group meets every third Tuesday of the month from 4.30- 5.30pm.
- Babes in Arms (adult reading group for parents/carers) meets on the last Friday of the month at 10am.
- Teen Writing Group (for 10 - 16 year olds) meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 4.45pm.
- Chatter Books (reading group for 8 - 10 year-olds) meets once a month on a Tuesday at 4pm.
Meeting Group:
Knit and Knat: every second Friday from 2-4pm. A social group for knitters and talkers. Wool, needles, tea and biscuits. All ages welcome.
