Children's events

We run the following free drop-in events for young children during school term times:

  • Bookstart Rhymetime:  Fridays 10.30 - 11am (babies and toddlers)
  • Wiggle and Jiggle and Storytime: Fridays 11.30am - 12 noon (18 months onwards)

Homework help club

Our specially trained helpers offer young people aged 9 - 16 support with homework assignments. Students benefit from space to study, access to a wide selection of books, supervised internet access and word processing. The club is free and young people can drop in as and when they please.

Operating hours

School term time: Tuesday and Thursday 4 - 6pm, Saturday 2 - 5 pm
Half-term and Easter holidays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2 - 5pm
Summer and Christmas holidays: closed

Social club

Our social club - the Addlib Club - meets every first Friday of the month at 2.30 pm. This is a social club for everyone who lives in the area, with speakers, a variety of talks or just for a general chat over a cup of tea.
