Opening hours

Monday: 9am - 7pm
Tuesday: 9am - 6pm
Wednesday: Closed
Thursday: 9am - 6pm
Friday: 9:30am - 6pm
Saturday: 9am - 5pm
Sunday: Closed

Children's events

We run the following free drop-in events for young children during the school term:

  • Bookstart Rhymetime: Tuesdays 11-11:30am (babies and toddlers)
  • Wiggle and Jiggle: Thursdays 10:30-11am (toddlers)
  • Rock and Rhyme: Saturdays 11-11:30am (babies and toddlers)
  • Story Storytime for Under 7's: Thursdays 4-4:30pm (term time only)

Homework help club

Our specially trained helpers offer young people aged 9-16 support with homework assignments. Students benefit from space to study, access to a wide selection of books, word processing and supervised internet access.

The club is free and young people can drop as and when they please.

Operating hours

  • school term time: Tuesday and Thursday 4-6pm, Saturday 2-5 pm
  • half-term and Easter holidays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2-5pm
  • summer and Christmas holidays: closed.

Reading groups

Our adult reading group usually meets on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30pm.

Chatterbooks for children in Key Stage 2, meets on the second Friday of the month from 4-5pm. Places for this reading group are limited so please contact the library for more information.
