You can now borrow books by using the Croydon digital library even when your local library is closed.

You can browse the digital library without being a member, but if you wish to download an item you will need to join your local library.
Click on the 'How to join Croydon libraries' link from the list to your left for more information on how to become a member.
Once you have joined the library you can download one of our e-books by following these steps:
- Add your item(s) to your basket
- Proceed to checkout
- Click on the drop down menu and select Croydon Council
- Enter your library card number
- Then enter your Passwor/PIN which was allocated to you when you joined. Please note this is the same Passwor/PIN used to reserve or renew a book online.
If you have forgotten your Passwor/PIN you can request another by calling our contact centre on 020 8726 6900 or by contacting your local library. Click on the 'Croydon's Libraries' link to your left for your local library contact details.
