Lunch clubs

Lunch clubs listed on Croydon Online provides links to most of the lunch clubs in Croydon.  We have also listed lunch clubs in the central, south and north of Croydon.  They are mainly for older people but others are welcome, although it's best to check with the club first.

Our day services are listed separately under their own heading and you must be referred to those by the appropriate service.

About lunch clubs

As the name implies, at lunch clubs people meet to eat together. Friendly volunteers will serve you a tasty and healthy two-course hot meal. However, lunch clubs are also occasions to meet others, socialise, make new friends and get involved in a variety of social activities.

Some lunch clubs organise theatre and shopping outings, play bingo and bowls, and do other social activities. A number even provide hairdressing and bathing facilities. There may be a charge for these services.

Some clubs offer transport for people who find it diffcult to get to the club by themselves. It is best to contact the lunch club to check if this service is available.

Opening hours

Each club has its own opening times. There are some that open each day Monday to Friday and others which only open one or two days per week. 

We have given times, where available, but you should contact the lunch club to check in case there are changes.

Costs

The cost of a meal is £2.70. You simply pay for the meal as you receive it.

For charges for other services offered, for example hairdressing, please check with the club in question.
