NCH Rightfully Yours

Who are they?

NCH Rightfully Yours is a free service for children and young people in or from Croydon between the age of 0-25.

They are not part of the council, they are part of the children's charity - National Children's Homes (NCH).

They can help children and young people who are:

  • In Care - this means that Croydon Council are responsible for looking after you, you might be living with your foster family, in a residential placement such as a children's home or secure unit or maybe you live in hospital. Wherever you live NCH Rightfully Yours will make sure they meet with you if you want them to work with you.

  • Entering care - this means the council may be working with you and your family and you might be placed with a foster family soon or you may already be in a foster or residential placement.

  • Leaving care - this means you are 16 or over and have been in care with Croydon social services and now are entitled to a social work service with the leaving care and independence team.

  • In need - this means that your parents or carers are still responsible for your care but Croydon Council have a responsibility to share some of that support, the council are likely to be making some assessments at this time to see if everything is okay.

What do NCH Rightfully Yours do?
