If advice or support is required for a looked after child who is the responsibility of another authority, it would be useful to look at the Education Protects website - this lists useful information regarding looked after children and local authority contacts for the whole of England.

The Social Exclusion Unit provides a report and practice guide A Better Education for Children in Care available from their website.
