How can we help?
Are you having problems with your eye sight which is making it difficult to:
-
prepare meals safely
-
make a hot drink
-

-
access information and news?
We provide a community-based service to Croydon residents. Our aim is to enable people to regain skills lost due to visual impairment.
We work with people who have been medically assessed as having a significant and permanent sight loss and are experiencing functional difficulties due to this.
We will carry out an assessment of your needs and work with you to decide the best way of meeting the needs we have identified.
You can be referred in three ways:
- through your local hospital eye unit
- through your local optician
- by contacting us through social services for adults (details below).
We also offer a weekly advice session to anyone who requires help or information relating to visual impairment. These sessions are held every Thursday between 1pm and 4pm. Contact us through social services for adults.
