Aashna
Managed by Asian Resource Centre - providing residential respite
care for South Asian older people.
Alzheimer's Society
Providing short breaks for carers of older people with
dementia.
Bangladesh Welfare Association
Providing support and breaks to carers within the Bangladeshi
community.
Carers Information Service
Provides funding for respite care for carers who wish to take
part in training courses relating to their caring role.
Carer to Carer
Providing short breaks for carers.
Children with Disabilities
Providing short breaks for children with severe disabilities
(subject to assessment by a social worker).
Croydon Contacts
Providing supported leisure for people with
disabilities/additional needs and their families.
Croydon Crossroads
Providing 48 hour breaks/carer respite support. Also provides
short breaks for carers of people with mental health needs and a
Saturday Club for children with disabilities.
Croydon Somali Community Association
Providing short breaks to carers in the Somali community.
Off The Record Young Carers Support Project
This project is for young people from the age of
six (maximum of 18 at point of referral) who look after or help to look
after a family member with an illness, disability or a drug, alcohol or
mental health problem. It offers home visits, information, advice,
advocacy, holiday grants, a volunteer befriending scheme and help with
school issues. There are regular activities, outings and holidays, a
weekly youth club and a learning support club.
Parents in Partnership
Providing short breaks for parents/carers of children with a
disability.
Social Services for adults
Providing short breaks for carers of adults with physical
disabilities as well as to carers of adults with learning
disabilities.
Time Allocation Scheme
For carers of people who receive services from Social
Services.
